FRAZEY FORD "INDIAN OCEAN"

先日池袋のディスクユニオンで見つけたCD。
CDの説明書きのところにThe Be Good Tanyasとあったので
買うことを決定。
The Be Good Tanyasは確か家に２枚CDがあったと思う。
すごく素敵なバンドだ。
Rough Tradeのコンピレーションアルバムか何かに
彼女たちの曲、The Littlest Birdsだったと思う、が入っていて
気に入ったのが出会いのきっかけ。
このCDを聞いてみると、なるほどボーカルはThe Be Good Tanyasだ。
彼女の歌声はすごく好きだ。
Carol Kingを思い出させるような声。
このアルバムは、フォークなソウル。
ということで、命名「フォークソウル」。
フォークソウルだ。
１曲目「September Fields」がダントツに良い。
だいたいにしてSeptemberにまつわる曲は良い。

On the other day, I found this CD at Disk Union in Ikebukuro.
There was a comment on this which says "The Be Good Tanyas."
That's enough to buy this since I really like them.
First time I got to know Tanyas was from their fantastic song,
The Littlest Birds, in a Rough Trade compilation album.
Obviously, you can tell this Frazey Ford is the singer of Tanyas
once you hear her voice.
Her voice reminds me of Carol King some how.
This entire album is full of folk and soul music.
I could name this "Folk Soul."
The first track "September Fields" is a killer.
