SECOS E MOLHADOS

ブラジルのサイケバンドの1st。

サイケと言っても音色は優しい。

１９７３年発売。

ジャケットを見ればわかるようにトロピカリアの影響が見える。

彼らのメイクをKISSがパクったのではという噂もある。

不思議なことにこのアルバムを聞いていて

Yo La Tengoの「I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass」

というアルバムを思い出した。

全然スタイルが違うのに。

多分アルバムを覆う優しい感じが似ているのかな。

で、気づく。

The Velvet Underground &NicoのNicoの曲に共通する部分が多い。

そう考えれば、Yo La Tengoがヴェルヴェットフォロワーなんて言われた

こともあるように納得がいく。

このアルバム、ムタンチス好きは必ず気にいります。

Brazilian psychedelic band's 1st album.

The sound isn't that trippy psychedelic music.

This one was released in 1973.

You can tell their style was influenced by Tropicalia from this jacket.

There's a rumor that KISS stole Secos E Molhados' fashion to their own.

Songs from this album reminds me of Yo La Tengo's 

"I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass" album 

even though their style is completely different.

Probably it's not the style but the gentle atmosphere covering this album is 

close to the one in Yo La Tengo's. 

Then I realized that this sound has the very close feeling I had with 

Nico (a famous singer with the velvet underground).

Now it all makes sense.
