TOM WAITS "RAIN DOGS"

レインドッグはトムウェイツの８枚目のアルバム。

トムウェイツは唯一無二のミュージシャンだ。

何をしてもトムウェイツの音楽はトムウェイツでしかない。

このアルバムは様々な音楽が混ざり合っている。

万人受けするものではない。

良い曲が多く一番好きな曲と聞かれたら困ってしまうが、

ラストを飾る「ANYWHERE I LAY MY HEAD」は

一番グッっとくる。

歌詞も素晴らしい（歌詞は英文の方に挙げました）。

ところで、このジャケットの写真がずっと気になっていたのです。

調べてみるとスウェーデンの写真家アンダース・ペーターセンの作品。

このサイトで彼の考えを垣間見れた。

ずっと自分が思っていたことと同じことを

見事なまでに同じように言っていて驚いた。

トムはずっとファンだったが、この度アンダースのファンにもなりました。

Rain dogs is the eighth album by Tom Waits.

He is the one and only singer song writer.

Whatever he makes, it's Tom Waits music.

This album is full of so many kinds of music that isn't for everybody.

It's hard to decide the best one from songs in this album, 

but the most moving song is the last song, ANYWHERE I LAY MY HEAD.

Here it goes:

"I don't need anybody. 

Because I learned to be alone. 

And anywhere I lay my head, boys

I will call my home." 

What a great song.

By the way, the jacket photo is as great as the songs.

The photographer, is Anders Petersen.

I didn't know who he was , but man, his photos just hit the spot.

Checking this website and saw his this quote, 

I felt certain of that he is my favorite kind of photographer.

I've been a fan of Tom and now I am a fan of Anders as well.
